Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at SimplySmart Childcare Centre 2 Inc.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans.
  • Assist colleagues with housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support children's growth and well-being.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe environment.
  • Lead activities, tell stories, and engage children in creative play.
  • Encourage children to express themselves through art, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide children in developing good habits and prepare snacks and meals.
  • Observe children and prepare reports for parents and supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Vulnerable sector check.
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, interpersonal awareness, reliability, and values and ethics.
