Archives and Records Management Specialist

Oxford County is seeking a highly skilled Archives and Records Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in the safekeeping of all official records for the County and those maintained by the Oxford County Archives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer requests under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA)
  • Assist in the digitization, web archiving, and website design of records
  • Develop and implement records management procedures, including retention schedules
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, statutes, and regulations related to municipal and program-specific operations

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in an Archives or Library Technician program
  • Knowledge of local history, archival procedures, and practices
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
