About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Green Ladder Building Corp. as a Construction Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our construction team with various tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as lumber, tools, and equipment, from trucks and storage areas.
  • Erecting and Dismantling Scaffolding: Help to set up and take down scaffolding, ramps, and other temporary structures on construction sites.
  • Mixing and Pouring Concrete: Assist in mixing and pouring concrete, as well as spreading and finishing the material to ensure a smooth and even surface.
  • Leveling Earth: Help to level earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring that the site is properly prepared for construction.
  • Demolition Assistance: Assist in demolishing buildings and structures, including removing debris and rubble.
  • Cleaning and Piling Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials, such as lumber and other building materials, for reuse or recycling.
  • Removal of Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be working in a fast-paced construction environment and may be required to lift heavy materials and equipment.
  • Manual Dexterity: You will need to have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks such as mixing and pouring concrete, and operating power tools.
  • Attention to Detail: You must be able to pay close attention to detail to ensure that tasks are completed accurately and safely.
  • Team Player: As a Construction Assistant, you will be working as part of a team to complete construction projects. You must be able to work effectively with others and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Working Conditions

This is a temporary, full-time position, working 30-40 hours per week. The work language is English, and the work term is temporary.
