Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Skid Steer Operator/Labourer to join our team at Alpha Better Landscaping. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, performing labourer tasks, and contributing to the success of our landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate skid steer equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip checks on equipment and job sites, identifying potential hazards and taking corrective action.
  • Assist in the execution of landscaping projects, including grading, loaming, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Conduct work in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with crew members, foremen, and other colleagues to achieve project goals.
  • Participate in labourer tasks, such as lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects, as required.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience operating a skid steer.
  • Class 5 driver's license (non-GDL) with 2 years of driving experience, clean driver abstract, and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • Physical dexterity to handle prolonged sitting and operating a skid steer.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
