Position Overview:
The Quadra Island Medical Clinic is situated in a picturesque location, providing essential Primary Care services as part of the local healthcare network. This clinic serves as a vital resource for the community, offering support from various healthcare professionals, including a Nurse Practitioner.
Role Responsibilities:
The Family Practitioner (FP) will engage with a well-established patient panel, contributing to the overall health and well-being of Quadra Island residents. The clinic is operated by the Quadra Island Health Society, which oversees daily operations and employs the necessary administrative staff.
Work Schedule:
- Flexible options available for 3 to 5 days per week.
- No weekend or after-hours duties, as these are managed by local emergency services.
- The clinic observes closures on weekends and statutory holidays.
- Ideally, the FP will provide coverage from Monday to Friday, approximately 7.5 hours per day, with variations for part-time arrangements.
Compensation and Benefits:
Eligible candidates may receive additional financial incentives under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), which may include:
- Recruitment Incentive (pro-rated)
- Fee Premium
- Annual Flat Fee
- Rural Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowances for years spent in the community, with potential increases over time.
