About the Role

The Event Porter is a key member of our team at Auberge du Pommier, responsible for ensuring the smooth setup and teardown of our event venues. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up event venues according to client requests, ensuring that every detail is met
  • Lead a team to ensure efficient and effective setup and teardown
  • Lift and move heavy and light objects in a safe and timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue
  • Comply with and act in accordance with Health and Safety regulations
  • Receive and sign off on materials and shipments from clients and couriers
  • Meet, greet, and escort clients from the loading dock, offering assistance as needed

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a variable workload
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to listen and follow clear directions
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or occasional overnight shifts
  • Dependable and goal-oriented
