Job Summary:

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from start to finish. This includes estimating costs and materials, overseeing apprenticeship training, preparing production and other reports, and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials for construction projects
  • Oversee apprenticeship training and ensure workers are properly trained
  • Prepare production and other reports to track project progress
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed on all construction sites
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure projects are completed on time
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure the success of the project
  • Requisition materials and supplies as needed
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure they are completed to a high standard
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure workers have the necessary skills
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in construction management
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of construction regulations and safety protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Work Environment:
