About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Wosler Diagnostics Crowsnest Pass Ltd. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Ultrasound Equipment: Utilize advanced ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor Examinations: Evaluate the quality and consistency of diagnostic images and make adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Image Processing: Record, store, and process scanned images using camera units connected to ultrasound equipment.
  • Patient Care: Provide personal assistance to patients during treatments, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Reporting: Prepare examination reports for physicians, detailing findings and recommendations.
  • Equipment Quality Control: Conduct regular checks on ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation and optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Certification: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certification.
  • Area of Specialization: Abdominal sonography, obstetrical and gynecological sonography, and peripheral vascular sonography.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, and reliability.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Work Environment
  • Work Setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
