ERM is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Consultant in Sustainability Project Management to enhance our Corporate Sustainability Advisory service area. This position is focused on managing client engagements and ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality work.
The successful candidate will take charge of various strategic and operational projects, which may include conducting materiality assessments, formulating sustainability/ESG strategies and objectives, drafting sustainability/ESG reports, and addressing ESG ratings and rankings. Collaboration with colleagues in related practices on projects such as ESG due diligence, greenhouse gas inventories, and climate risk evaluations will also be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Client and Project Management
- Oversee the development and execution of projects aligned with our core Sustainability Advisory services, ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Utilize established methodologies for assessing materiality and driving comprehensive reporting (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) while responding strategically to investor inquiries (e.g., CDP, DJSI, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS).
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, varying in size and complexity.
- Establish and maintain strong, trustworthy relationships with clients and business partners.
- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities, excellent writing and presentation skills, and proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate effective project management skills throughout the project lifecycle, including scoping, budgeting, and delivery.
- Accountable for achieving personal billability at a predetermined rate and meeting revenue contribution targets.
Team Collaboration
- Guide and mentor junior consultants assigned to your projects, fostering a supportive environment that promotes employee satisfaction and high-quality outcomes.
- Engage proactively with ERM staff across regions for knowledge sharing and business development coordination.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders, research organizations, and thought leaders.
Business Development
- Support business development initiatives and the marketing of Corporate Sustainability Advisory services.
- Assist senior leadership in crafting commercial strategies to secure new business opportunities.
- Listen attentively to clients to understand their needs and collaboratively develop value-driven solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an advisory role with a focus on client delivery and/or business development.
- Graduate degree in a relevant field or a bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Experience working with clients across various sectors, including energy, natural resources, and manufacturing, is advantageous.
- Effective communicator capable of delivering messages to executives and facilitating productive client interactions.
- Experience in line management and contributing to the professional growth of team members.
