Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Appletree Medical Group in Ottawa. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general and preventative care, conducting check-ups, treating illnesses, ordering lab tests, and prescribing medication for children and adults. You will work independently to perform age-appropriate history and physicals, order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests, and implement interventions to support patients in regaining or maintaining physiologic stability.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Experience in primary care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and other relevant software
