Job Title: Training Specialist

YWCA Metro Vancouver is seeking a skilled Training Specialist to facilitate our Single Mothers Support Group Contract. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for women to connect and share their experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate group meetings, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance the group's effectiveness.
  • Provide resources, information, and referrals to group members as needed.
  • Support the setup and cleanup of meeting spaces, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in group facilitation, with a focus on peer support models.
  • Strong knowledge of group dynamics and process, particularly in the context of social services.
  • Training and experience in social work, counseling, or community support.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by single mothers and experience working with diverse populations.
  • Passion for empowering women and supporting their journey towards independence.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive contract fee of $400 per month.
  • A travel/parking allowance of $20 per month.
