Job Title: Psychotherapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our team at Prince Edward County Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychotherapy services to clients, working collaboratively with our team to deliver effective treatment plans. This is a permanent, part-time position, with the opportunity to work up to 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes
  • Examine client behaviour and develop treatment plans
  • Interview clients, prepare case histories, and assess problems
  • Record observations and maintain accurate records
  • Provide education to clients on health promotion and injury prevention, management, and treatment
  • Implement treatment plans and perform administrative tasks
  • Apply psychological theory and principles to behaviour and mental processes
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Provincial license or registration
  • Accreditation or registration with the appropriate national, provincial, or territorial professional association
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of cognitive-behavioural therapy and other evidence-based treatments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
