World Designer - AAA IP

Behaviour Interactive is seeking a skilled World Designer to join our team in Montreal. As a World Designer, you will be responsible for creating immersive and engaging game worlds that bring our AAA IP to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and own world sections and layouts from initial concept to final delivery
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure level design intentions are respected
  • Establish conventions and improve the design of the world's intentions, scale, distances, paths, and metrics
  • Support mission integrations and world events in levels when conditions are met
  • Support and review the work of junior teammates
  • Provide time estimates and reprioritize goals as necessary
  • Create and present detailed design documents as needed
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of game industry experience as a level/world designer, especially on AAA titles
  • Strong understanding of space, flow, and pacing
  • Previous experience on AAA projects, open-world games a plus
  • Proficient with Unreal Engine and related tools
  • Experience with procedural content generation a plus
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to constant changes
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal in French and/or English
