Job Summary

The Stores and Distribution Attendant plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution network. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing internal requisitions, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and prioritize internal requisitions from multiple sites and departments, maintaining accurate records and data entry into our computerized system.
  • Maintain the cart top-up system, checking supply levels, and requisitioning stock as needed to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming goods and materials, verifying specifications and completing related paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, labeling and updating data as directed.
  • Marshal supplies and equipment, assembling loads, and transporting goods to designated areas.
  • Identify and return damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers, completing necessary documentation.
  • Operate a truck and various powered equipment, delivering and picking up supplies while adhering to WHMIS and TDG regulations.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment, maintaining documentation and recommending repairs as needed.
  • Participate in inventory activities and perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Grade 12, one year of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment and vehicles, with a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
