Business Line Specific Context

Role: Reporting to the Vice President of Infrastructures in Québec, the Infrastructure Project Engineer will oversee project organization, facilitate team coordination, track actions, and manage internal and external client reporting. The ideal candidate is an engineer with a specialization in maritime or civil engineering, possessing a strong passion for project management and a commitment to excellence in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure adherence to project management protocols in line with Egis performance standards, including document control, change management, and quality assurance.
  2. Organize and coordinate project activities, ensuring effective collaboration among all teams to achieve project objectives.
  3. Monitor project actions, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is communicated to clients.
  4. Identify and implement enhancements across various processes.
  5. Support the project director in organizational matters, providing regular updates and addressing any emerging concerns.
  6. Collaborate with both global internal teams and local teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
  7. Prepare and present project management reports, presentations, and necessary documentation. Maintain an updated project schedule, implement changes, and report key performance indicators.
  8. Monitor and manage the budget in close collaboration with the Project Director, reporting key indicators.
  9. Depending on project needs, undertake technical tasks to assist in the production of technical studies related to maritime or civil infrastructures, including analysis and synthesis of technical documents.
Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:

  1. A degree in Civil Engineering, Maritime Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Proficiency in both French and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Competence in using Primavera 6 and Microsoft tools.
  4. Experience in engineering project planning.
  5. Expertise in drafting and presenting comprehensive reports.
  6. Proven success in a multidisciplinary environment.
  7. Development, implementation, and continuous improvement of planning processes, procedures, and systems.
  8. A collaborative team player with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  9. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  10. Excellent problem-solving abilities, demonstrating a proactive and collaborative work approach.
  11. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team, exhibiting a high level of professionalism and integrity.
