About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at the Canadian Gundrilling Company Inc. as a Precision Tooling Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dimensional Control: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure precise fit and assembly.
  • Workpiece Preparation: Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
  • Engineering Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and adjust production machineries/tools, and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
  • Quality Control: Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced production environment, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Language and Communication: Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to ensure clear understanding of production requirements and tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
