CNC Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Allingham Machining Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience with computer numerical control (CNC) machining and a strong understanding of precision tooling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production.
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools to meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Work Environment:

Our manufacturing facility is located in a convenient area with public transportation available. The work environment is physically demanding, and overtime may be required.
