This announcement is to fill three (3) permanent roles.

The Government of Yukon is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its communities. Our Department of Highways and Public Works plays a crucial role in ensuring the infrastructure that supports daily life in Yukon. We uphold the principles of safety, innovation, collaboration, and leadership in all our endeavors.

We are currently in search of a skilled professional to become a vital member of our Transportation division. This role serves as the primary public liaison for the Motor Vehicles unit, which holds the regulatory power under the Motor Vehicles Act to issue driver licenses, vehicle registrations, permits, and enforce sanctions on driver licenses and vehicle registrations. This position delivers essential services that significantly affect the identity, mobility, independence, and safety of Yukon's residents, as well as visitors from other regions.

Key Qualifications

  1. Extensive experience in customer service within a high-traffic regulatory setting
  2. Proficient in navigating legislation and policy frameworks to ensure effective service delivery
  3. Experience in registration, licensing, and/or permitting, preferably in a governmental or large organizational context
  4. Experience managing financial transactions (debit/credit card, cash) and performing cash reconciliations
  5. Bilingualism is considered an asset

Candidates with education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may also be considered.
