Job Title: Utility Grounds Worker

Central Okanagan Public Schools is seeking a skilled and dedicated Utility Grounds Worker to join our team. As a key member of our facilities support staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our schools and grounds.

About Us:

Central Okanagan Public Schools operates within the unceded, Traditional Territory of the Okanagan syilx peoples. We serve approximately 24,500 students, including over 3,000 students who self-identify as having Indigenous ancestry.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the grounds and facilities of our schools, ensuring they are safe and welcoming for students and staff.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including landscaping, snow removal, and equipment operation.
  • Collaborate with other facilities support staff to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a related field an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
