Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Delicatessen Clerk to join our team at Vahagn's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Customer Service: Provide advice about merchandise, greet customers, and discuss type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental, or lease.
  • Merchandise Preparation: Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease, and maintain sales records for inventory control.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, maintain manual dexterity, and have the ability to distinguish between colours.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English (langue de travail).
  • Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
