Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to provide nursing care to patients in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients with addictions and/or mental health diagnoses
  • Contribute to fluctuating patient care needs according to CNO standards, RNAO Best Practice Guidelines, and specific program philosophy
  • Administer psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications and treatments
  • Ensure necessary clinical assessments are initiated following admission and at various other times
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams and individual team members as appropriate
  • Act as a preceptor, mentor, coach, or resource nurse as needed
Requirements:
  • Current registration as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing
  • Up to 6 months of experience in general nursing practice preferred
  • Current CPR certification; CPMHN (C) would be an asset
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA), documentation standards (CNO), and privacy legislation (PHIPA)
  • Experience working with patients who have a broad range of addiction and psychiatric diagnoses preferred
