We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in identifying, planning, and delivering training sessions for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in long term care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for staff to meet their key competencies in long term care.
- Compile, implement, and evaluate general and unit-specific orientation and education programs for staff.
- Facilitate the development and ongoing maintenance of preceptorship/mentorship programs.
- Participate in the ongoing review and revision of patient care standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate in-service programs to meet the continuing educational needs of staff.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing plus three years' recent related experience and two years' formal experience in adult teaching/learning and curriculum development.
- Three to five years' experience in the area of clinical focus.
- Current practicing registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Current CPR certification.
- Additional education in long term care, such as GPA, Dementiability, CNA gerontology certificate.
- Experience in a long term care setting.
- Comprehensive benefit packages, including extended health/dental and a municipal pension plan.
- Four weeks vacation with one year of continuous service.
