We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Verdi Structures Inc. as a Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
- Construct and repair wood or metal supports and structures
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials
- As per collective agreement
- Permanent employment
- 40 hours per week
- English as the primary language of work
