About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and robust web applications using Python technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of your work and deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Gather and refine business requirements and transform them into technical specifications.
  • Perform independent research and design efficient solutions that meet specifications and adhere to industry best practices and organizational policies.
  • Develop existing and new software products with the goal of providing an outstanding service for our customers.
  • Communicate ideas verbally and in writing with the team while making it a practice to document designs, deliverables, and any other pertinent information.
  • Derive data insights and apply them to address business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of work experience in software engineering with web application full-stack development, cloud technologies, and system design & integration.
  • 5+ years of experience developing robust and scalable web services using Python technologies.
  • Experienced working with databases and key-value data stores (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL).
  • Experienced using Linux and proficient/knowledge with DevOps and tooling.
  • Consistent use of version control (e.g., git).
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with stakeholders and project team members.
  • Voracious learner with a knack for deriving insights out of data and applying them to address business opportunities.
  • University degree in a relevant STEM discipline (Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Sciences, Mathematics).

Nice to Have Skills:

  • 3+ years of work experience with modern JavaScript, NodeJS, Express, React/Redux.
  • Experience with shell scripting languages (Bash preferred).
  • Experience with browser extension development.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and architecture (e.g., GCP).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher.
  • Experience with information retrieval systems/search engines (e.g., Apache Lucene, Solr or Elasticsearch) and web crawlers (e.g., Apache Nutch).
  • Experience with Ansible, ELK stack, message queues.
  • Experience with AI and Machine Learning (e.g., GPT-3).
