About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at JBM GRANITE ET QUARTZ INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate materials, tools, and equipment required for projects
  • Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations
  • Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
  • Supervise other workers

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
