Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer - Package to join our team at Startec Compression & Process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of gas compression, refrigeration, and gas processing packages. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design solutions, conducting thorough analyses to optimize package efficiency, and adhering to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop gas compression, refrigeration, and gas processing packages
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design solutions
  • Conduct thorough analyses to optimize package efficiency
  • Adhere to industry standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Manage and assist with technical and manufacturing issues on multiple projects
  • Provide engineering support to the Service department during equipment commissioning and start-up
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and engineering technologists
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives of the Engineering Department
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • P.Eng (APEGA) or Professional Licensee (Engineering)
  • 10+ years of experience in compression, refrigeration, and gas processing, packaging/manufacturing
  • Experience working at a supervisory capacity with project engineers/technologists and designers
  • Strong knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, VMG)
  • Strong knowledge of requirements from engineering jurisdictions (ABSA, EGBC, TSASK)
  • Strong knowledge of ASME / ANSI / API Codes, good knowledge of CSA Codes
  • Strong technical knowledge of packaging design principles, materials, and fabrication processes
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools
  • Proficient with NAVISWORK Freedom for 3D Model Review
  • Knowledge of regulations, standards, and certifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, decision-making skills and customer-focused
