Compensation:

Compensation for Marker-Grader positions is determined based on the qualifications held by the employee:

  • Master's Degree Complete
  • Undergraduate Degree Complete
  • Third Year Complete
  • Second Year Complete
  • First Year Complete

Key Responsibilities:

The Marker-Grader will be responsible for evaluating assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and final assessments. The individual must provide constructive written feedback to students, clearly articulating the rationale behind the assigned grades, which may pertain to content quality or written communication aspects such as spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure.

Additionally, the Marker-Grader may be required to supervise mid-term and final examinations or input grades into databases as requested by the course instructor.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of MGMT 1P93 or an equivalent course with a minimum grade of 80%
  • At least first-year completion in a business program with an overall average of 75%
  • Achievement of a minimum of 80% on the Writing Proficiency Test
  • Prior experience as a marker/grader is preferred
  • Strong English language proficiency
  • Commitment to academic integrity and professionalism
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and meet deadlines
