Maintenance Worker Supervisor Job Description

Avon Building Maintenance Ltd. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for supervising and scheduling staff, planning and directing grounds maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including the construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls.
  • Plan and estimate labour and materials for maintenance projects.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
Requirements:
  • Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a maintenance or supervisory role.
  • Permanent employment with 32 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Standing for extended periods.
