Role Responsibilities

The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist is an integral part of the quality assurance team, focusing on quality-related functions within the MDA Business Process System. This position does not involve tasks that require a quality stamp, such as internal or external inspections.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting Process Confirmation Verifications as scheduled by management or as a result of a Corrective Action Request.

• Engaging in internal Corrective Action Requests (CARs) by providing insights on quality processes and executing relevant quality tasks.

• Assisting in audit preparation and report generation.

• Compiling Engineering Investigation Data Packages (EIDPs) as necessary.

• Initiating nonconformance reports and supporting senior team members in tracking and reporting nonconformance issues. Preparing Quality Level Charts that detail scrap rates, rejection rates, and overall quality performance of manufacturing sectors.

• Updating business processes and training materials related to quality assurance.

• Collaborating with senior team members on data collection and analysis concerning quality assurance matters, and preparing necessary reports for management review.

• Monitoring the Approved Supplier List for upcoming expirations and generating relevant charts and reports.

Required Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, utilizing data and reports effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Exceptional record-keeping skills.

• Ability to adhere to established processes and identify areas for improvement.

• Capacity to foster and maintain productive relationships with other departments.

Additional Considerations:

Candidates must obtain and maintain security clearance at the reliability status level and successfully pass the security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
