Surveillance Technician

Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Surveillance Supervisor, this role is tasked with overseeing both the internal and external areas of the establishment through the use of closed-circuit television systems, while also maintaining comprehensive visual documentation. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with the organization's policies and procedures, fostering a supportive learning atmosphere, and promoting a secure and inviting workplace for all employees.
Primary Responsibilities
- Observes, records, and reports any infractions, significant cash transactions, individuals on exclusion lists, and unauthorized entries; escalates issues to the Surveillance Supervisor.
- Keeps detailed logs and documentation.
- Engages in effective communication with relevant operational teams.
- Cultivates positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
- Ensures adherence to licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and other legal requirements.
- Executes additional tasks as assigned or instructed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Availability for overnight and weekend shifts is essential.
- Post-secondary education in criminology or a related field, or a suitable mix of education and experience is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of relevant work experience; background in security or surveillance is advantageous.
- Certification in Responsible Liquor Service is required.
- Capability to successfully acquire a Gaming License.
Work Environment
- Standard office setting with the requirement for non-traditional working hours.
