The City of Lethbridge is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Indigenous Resource Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our Indigenous Relations Department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing education and awareness programs to promote safe reporting in our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver education and awareness programs to support victims of crime and promote safe reporting practices.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations to provide support and resources to victims of crime.
- Collaborate with the Lethbridge Police Service to support case management efforts and ensure best practices.
- Research and analyze trends related to victims of crime and identify strategies to improve safe reporting practices.
- Develop and implement data collection and reporting systems to track and analyze safe reporting practices.
- Proven experience in strategic social and/or health education, with a focus on health promotion and education practices, addiction and mental health, or other social work.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with victims of crime and a strong understanding of Indigenous cultural processes and legal procedures.
- Valid Alberta driver's license and reliable transportation.
