Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional classroom management abilities, a profound understanding of child development, and the capacity to foster professional relationships with parents, colleagues, and staff. A commitment to collaborative efforts within our educational community is essential.


Qualifications:

Experience in teaching various handwork techniques, including watercolour painting, knitting, crocheting, and sewing is required. Candidates must possess or be eligible for certification under the BC Teachers Regulation Branch and maintain a clear criminal record. A passion for working in a rural forest and farm environment is highly valued.


Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of, or enrollment in, an AWSNA accredited Waldorf Grades Teacher Training program is advantageous. Current first aid certification or a willingness to obtain it is also preferred.


Compensation:

The salary range is $15,017 to $19,603 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer competitive wages, a benefits program, and a supportive work environment that encourages proactive communication.


Our institution is a Group 1 BC Independent school, currently developing within the WECAN framework and associated with AWSNA. We provide a nurturing atmosphere for both students and staff.
