Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of sheet metal components in various building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, and furnace casings in supportive frameworks.
  • Respond to service calls and troubleshoot and repair identified issues on site while exceeding compliance standards.
  • Maximize efficiency while fabricating and installing HVAC systems.
  • Trim, file, buff, grind, and smooth metal surfaces and joints of parts using hand tools to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.
  • Select and order the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications.
  • Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips ensuring that bonds will last.
  • Maintain and repair sheet metal components of HVAC equipment.
  • Communicate candidly and professionally with customers, building trust and repeat business.
  • Complete Work Orders and other administrative paperwork in a timely fashion.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in Alberta as a Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker, or 3rd or 4th year apprentices.
  • Customer Service Mindset.
  • Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract.
  • Strong Written/Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Leadership abilities and a focus on team.
