We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Student Support Specialist. This position plays a vital role in providing individualized support to students with diverse needs, ensuring their academic and personal growth within a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for students, prioritizing their well-being and individual requirements.
- Offer comprehensive support to students with varying needs, including those exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Assist students with personal hygiene and medical care as required.
- Develop and implement engaging life skills and academic programs tailored to each student's unique learning style.
- Supervise students individually and in small groups, fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a collaborative approach to working with diverse individuals.
- Hold a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Be proficient in utilizing common school computer software applications.
- Prior experience as an educational assistant or equivalent qualification is highly valued.
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a competitive starting wage of $19.69 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package and pension plan. Mileage reimbursement for student transportation will be provided. Additional qualifications such as NVCI, First Aid, Autism, and Behavioral educational backgrounds are highly regarded.
