Furniture Upholsterer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Upholsterer to join our team at ISA International Inc. As a Furniture Upholsterer, you will be responsible for laying out, cutting, fabricating, and installing upholstery for various furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lay out and cut upholstery materials according to design specifications
  • Fabricate and install upholstery on furniture pieces
  • Tack, glue, or sew ornamental trim, braids, or buttons
  • Work with various types of materials, including leather, plastic, wool, nylon, and cotton or synthetic fabrics
  • Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure high-quality finishes
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in furniture upholstery
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work with precision
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
