Automotive Service Technician

AutoCanada is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Northland Nissan in Prince George, BC. As a key member of our service department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance work with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and OEM standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, cycle times, and customer communication.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections to make recommendations for repairs, ensuring the safety and reliability of vehicles.
  • Document all work performed on the vehicle RO, creating a story in the associated repair order, consistent with OEM standards.
  • Maintain an inventory of common automotive technician's tools, not normally inventoried by the Service department.
  • Stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as required.
  • Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.

Requirements:

  • A provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process.
  • Red Seal Certification is considered an asset.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
