Job Opportunity: Security Officer
About the Role:
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our property, employees, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guard against fire, theft, vandalism, and forced entry
- Patrol buildings, grounds, and work sites as specified by the employer
- Observe and examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are properly secured
- Report irregularities to the supervisor and other agencies as necessary
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Provide written and verbal reports with attention to factual details
Requirements:
- Security Guard training course or related
- Grade 12 diploma
- Previous experience in the security industry is an asset
- Ability to deal with the public in a respectful and assertive manner
- Must be able to pass RCMP Security Clearance
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to provide an acceptable Driver's Abstract
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
- Punctual, honest, and reliable
- Ability to speak Cree is an asset
