Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in overseeing daily operations;
- Collaborate effectively with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to manage prescription orders;
- Independently handle the labeling and preparation of prescriptions;
- Conduct thorough checks for repeat prescription releases;
- Ensure accurate delivery of prescriptions to customers;
- Identify and address potential therapeutic concerns, consulting with the Pharmacist as needed;
- Work in partnership with Innomar and ABSG Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy duties;
- Prepare and review billing, claims, and related documentation;
- Assist patients during prescription pickups;
- Input and manage prescription data in the computer system;
- Screen incoming calls and gather necessary information for the Pharmacist;
- Order and maintain medication inventory;
- Review invoices and other relevant documents;
- Package and dispatch prescription orders;
- Maintain accurate inventory records;
- Report adverse events in compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols;
- Renew SCP Registration annually and engage in regular Quality Assurance processes as part of ongoing education;
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Availability for standby/on-call duties may be required.
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited institution and completion of Structured Practical Training or the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists Bridging Program, along with SCP Registration;
- A minimum of two years of relevant pharmacy experience;
- Proficiency in Kroll software is essential;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Bilingualism in French and English is advantageous;
- Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy operations;
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug distribution practices;
- Exceptional customer service skills;
- Strong business and financial understanding;
- Analytical and mathematical proficiency;
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team;
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail;
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently;
- Proficient problem-solving skills to address issues efficiently;
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Outstanding time management abilities;
- Organized and capable of multitasking while maintaining accuracy;
- Meticulous attention to detail.
