Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure and applications on a daily basis.
  2. Deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on cloud platforms.
  3. Implement and oversee cloud infrastructure, including provisioning of compute, storage, network, and security resources.
  4. Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  5. Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
  6. Analyze cloud systems to ensure they meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
  7. Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security issues, responding to incidents or alerts as necessary.
  8. Oversee budgeted cloud costs and collaborate with value stream services for cost optimization strategies.
  9. Implement and manage cloud-based backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
  11. Work with development teams to ensure that cloud infrastructure and applications are designed and deployed to meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  12. Collaborate with internal solutions architects, vendor partners, other IT teams, stakeholders, and business units to ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets their needs and requirements.
  13. Assist in the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  14. Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.
Qualifications for Success:
  1. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of professional experience in an IT role.
  3. Certification(s) in AWS cloud solution foundations.
  4. Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  5. Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, network, and security.
  6. Experience with cloud-native application development, including the use of microservices and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  7. Familiarity with cloud-based security concepts, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
  8. Understanding of infrastructure management, identity management, virtualization, and hosted services.
  9. Knowledge of cloud-based automation and management tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  10. Familiarity with cloud security and compliance best practices.
  11. Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud-based systems.
  12. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  13. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  14. Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  15. Proficiency in English and French, both verbally and in writing.
