Job Summary

The City of Ottawa's Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is seeking a qualified Aquafitness Instructor to join our team. As an Aquafitness Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching aquafitness programming to participants in a safe and enjoyable manner, following the guidelines of the certifying agency and corporate and departmental policies.

Responsibilities
  • Teach aquafitness programming to participants in a safe and enjoyable manner
  • Follow the guidelines of the certifying agency and corporate and departmental policies
  • Ensure participants have a positive experience and follow all safety protocols
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 11 and current Certifications from a recognized certifying organization (or equivalent as deemed acceptable by management)
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience or equivalent apprenticeship
  • Aquafitness Instructor certificate (CALA, YM-YWCA, WaterART or other recognized certification)
  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
  • AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
