About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at 14290739 Canada Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and Prepare Materials: Calculate the materials, tools, and equipment required for projects and prepare them for use.
  • Lay Bricks and Blocks: Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing and construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
  • Read and Interpret Plans: Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required and ensure accurate construction.
  • Work at Heights: Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete tasks.
  • Operate Equipment: Operate CADD and other computer software systems to aid in construction.
  • Supervise and Instruct: Supervise other workers and instruct apprentices in masonry techniques.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable, basic security clearance, criminal record check, and driver's validity license check.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The language of work is English.
