Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses, to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train and Develop Staff: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to staff members to improve their skills and knowledge, and to ensure that they are equipped to handle the demands of the role.
- Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the ordering and inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, and ensure that all stock is properly stored and maintained.
- Maintain Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverages meet our high standards of quality and presentation, and that all customer complaints are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Prepare Budgets and Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators, and develop and manage budgets to ensure that we are operating within our means.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns, and work with the team to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain Records and Reports: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators, and prepare regular reports for management.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or restaurant environment
- Work Environment: Noisy, odorous
- Work Setting: Restaurant
- Tasks: Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, prepare budget and cost estimates, address customers' complaints or concerns, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, prepare and submit reports, supervise and check assembly of trays
