The Opportunity
ZE Power Engineering Inc. is a leading provider of engineering services to the electric utility industry. We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our project management team and contribute to the successful execution of our projects.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage project schedules, progress updates, and reports to ensure timely completion and within budget.
- Coordinate project control support, client support, and corporate services to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Oversee the engineering design and project administration for all projects within a given portfolio.
- Support the project management team in the successful execution of projects and provide guidance to project coordinators as needed.
- Manage other tasks as directed by the project management team and participate actively in project proposals and budgeting.
- Organize and coordinate project team meetings and develop process flow charts and process optimization.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
- Manage project reports for management, clients, or others and compile and submit project close-outs.
- Develop and organize training for new project coordinators and coordinate project activities among clients, contractors, suppliers, associates, and team members.
Qualifications & Skills
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thoughtful leadership with the ability to adapt style as suits the situation/individual(s).
- Track record of successful project delivery using cross-functional teams and employing project management best practices.
- Track record of managing multiple projects in parallel and must have access to a vehicle.
Education & Experience
- A university degree in a related field, such as Engineering, Construction Management, Contract Administration, Business Administration, or other from an accredited institution is desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management, preferably in the utility and telecommunication industry for medium to large-size organizations.
