Cementation Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrician Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of electricians and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of electricians to complete electrical projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
- Develop and implement electrical maintenance and repair procedures to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Provide training and guidance to junior electricians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement electrical standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the company's safety program, ensuring that all employees are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a licensed Journeyperson Electrician.
- Proven track record of leading a team and ensuring safe and efficient project execution.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, including WHMIS and fall arrest procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex electrical issues.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, with a strong understanding of fall arrest procedures.
- First aid certification and a valid Journeyperson Electrician certificate.
- Registered in Ontario as an Electrician, considered an asset.
- Full Basic Underground Common Core, considered an asset.
