Job Title: KPU Community Ambassador

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Kwantlen Polytechnic University team as a Community Ambassador. As a key member of the Community Engagement & Major Events Office, you will play a vital role in sharing the KPU student experience with prospective students, their parents, and attendees at community events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct informative campus tours for prospective students, showcasing the university's facilities and programs.
  • Engage with prospective students and community members at events, on social media, and through email and telephone communications, providing exceptional customer service and promoting the KPU brand.
  • Assist with event planning, setup, coordination, and operational logistics, ensuring seamless execution and a positive experience for attendees.
  • Provide knowledgeable, timely, and professional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Act in accordance with KPU branding standards, maintaining a consistent and professional image across all interactions.
Requirements:
  • Current KPU student in good academic standing, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office software.
  • Reliable, responsible, professional, and customer service oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to effectively multi-task, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
  • Experienced public speaker, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Social Media savvy, with a strong understanding of online platforms and their applications.
  • Sensitive to diverse student needs, with a commitment to inclusivity and respect.
  • Available for shifts at any campus or community event, as needed, and willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Access to a reliable vehicle, for travel to events and campus locations.
  • Proficiency in a second language, to enhance communication and engagement with diverse audiences.
