About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Right-A-Way Construction. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-construction tasks: Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Construction tasks: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures.
  • Installation tasks: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing tasks: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Project management tasks: Estimate costs and materials, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Work environment: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry.
  • Work schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
