Wood is currently seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter/Steamfitter Journeyperson to join their Offshore team in Newfoundland and Labrador. This position requires extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Fabrication and maintenance of piping systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Installation of pipe supports, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Operation of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilization of power tools and rigging equipment, with emphasis on safety protocols.
  • Work in confined spaces and at heights, requiring adaptability and physical stamina.
  • Work indoors or outdoors in extreme temperatures, necessitating flexibility and resilience.

**Requirements:**

  • Completion of Journeyperson Certification or relevant certification from another province with Red Seal endorsement.
  • Demonstrated competence in trade, with a strong track record of performance.
  • Valid Fall Arrest certificate for working at heights, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Various Offshore Certificates and Training (BST, Rigging, H2S, WHMIS, etc.) preferred, highlighting commitment to industry standards.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Pass a drug and alcohol test and CAPP Medical examination, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, with emphasis on physical fitness and stamina.
  • Strength and stamina to perform technical duties, requiring a high level of physical fitness.
  • Work in confined spaces following safety protocols, with a focus on adaptability and flexibility.
  • Comfortable working at heights, with a strong sense of safety awareness.
  • Able to walk, climb, stand, bend, twist, and crawl for the duration of the shift, with emphasis on physical endurance.
