Position Overview

Partner Staffing is currently collaborating with a client in search of an experienced Highway and Roadway Project Manager. This role is pivotal in overseeing the comprehensive management of highway and roadway initiatives, encompassing all phases from conception and design to construction and finalization. The selected candidate will spearhead project teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and guarantee the successful execution of projects while complying with safety, quality, and regulatory benchmarks.

Core Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and direct highway and roadway projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and financial plans.
  2. Engage with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and subcontractors to clarify project needs, scope, and goals.
  3. Formulate project strategies, timelines, and budgets, and track progress to ensure efficient and timely project delivery.
  4. Review and prepare engineering designs, specifications, and schematics for highway and roadway projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry practices.
  5. Manage project assets, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
  6. Conduct routine site evaluations and inspections to assess construction progress, quality, and safety adherence.
  7. Identify potential project risks and challenges, implementing effective strategies to ensure project success.
  8. Compile and present project status reports, updates on progress, and budget assessments to clients, stakeholders, and management.
  9. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project team, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, CET, or P.Eng.
  2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in highway and roadway projects.
  3. Demonstrated success in managing highway and roadway projects from inception to completion.
  4. In-depth technical knowledge of highway and roadway design standards, specifications, and regulations.
  5. Exceptional project management capabilities, including the ability to create project plans, timelines, and budgets, and effectively manage project resources.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members.
  7. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  8. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and excellence in all facets of project delivery.
