Software Engineer Internship at Lyft

At Lyft, we're committed to creating a transportation experience that's safe, reliable, and enjoyable for everyone. As a Software Engineer Intern, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve this mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of our backend systems, ensuring they're scalable, efficient, and reliable.
  • Collaborate with our team to design, implement, and test new features and functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with our data team to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a university in Canada.
  • Available for the internship in Montreal during Summer 2025.
  • Passion for community, sustainability, and/or transportation.
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment.
  • Contributions to open source projects.
  • Experience working with databases.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and a working proficiency in French.
