Main Responsibilities:

As a Wide Body Lead with Menzies Aviation, you will be responsible for overseeing a crew of 3-5 agents and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft. Your duties will include:

  • Coordinating the loading and unloading of cargo and baggage
  • Operating motorized equipment
  • Reading and interpreting aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, and baggage and cargo routing tags


Key Accountabilities:

Some of your key accountabilities will include:

  • Briefing the crew before flights on bag loads, positions to take, and how the flight will work
  • Responsible for safe push back and communications with the flight crew during push back
  • Responsible for all flight crew/gate crew paperwork before and after departure
  • Overseeing all operations at your gate/flight
  • Ensuring tasks are performed in accordance with the Company and Airlines specific procedures and policies


Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Valid G or G2 driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Reliability and a good team player
  • Prior ramp experience required


Working Conditions:

This role requires you to be comfortable working in all weather conditions and to be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
